Welcome to VotingSystem-nu (operated by Aren Group, unregistered). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What data we collect

• Contact form: When you message us, we collect your email address, subject, and message content.
• Vote data: When you create a poll, we store the title, description, options, and results. If you enable “Require name” or “Require email” for voters, we store those names and emails together with the votes.
• Technical data: We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to collect anonymised data about your visit (e.g. device type, browser, pages visited, time spent). Your IP address is processed by Google Analytics to approximate your geographic location, but we do not store or track it in a personally identifiable way.
• Local storage: We store a unique “User ID” in your browser’s local storage to help you retrieve your created polls. This is not stored on our servers unless you explicitly create a poll.
• Firebase: All poll data and contact messages are stored securely in Firebase (a Google Cloud service).

2. How we use your data

• To provide and maintain the voting service.
• To respond to your inquiries sent via the contact form.
• To analyse usage trends and improve the platform (using Google Analytics).
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse.

3. Data sharing and third parties

• Firebase (Google): Hosts our database and authentication.
• Google Analytics: Provides anonymised visitor statistics.
• CDN services: We load fonts and CSS from Google Fonts and Tailwind CDN.
• We do not share your data with advertisers, marketers, or any other third parties.

4. Data retention

• Votes: Automatically deleted 1 to 4 weeks after creation, depending on vote count (to preserve free storage).
• Contact messages: Stored until we have resolved your inquiry. You may request deletion at any time.
• Analytics data: Google Analytics retains aggregated data for 14 months.

5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to data processing.

6. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

Although we do not impose a minimum age to use VotingSystem-nu, we comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). 7. International users

VotingSystem-nu provides a free, no‑login‑required online polling platform. Users can create polls, share them via links / QR codes, and view real‑time results. The service is provided “as is” and is currently completely free.

3. User conduct

You agree not to misuse the platform. Prohibited activities include:

• Creating polls that contain illegal, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or discriminatory content.
• Attempting to disrupt, hack, or bypass the security of the platform.
• Using the platform to spam, phish, or distribute malware.
• Scraping, crawling, or extracting data from the platform without explicit permission.
• Impersonating any person or entity.

We reserve the right to remove any content or terminate access for users who violate these rules.

4. Intellectual property

• Our content: The code, design, layout, graphics, and overall “look and feel” of VotingSystem-nu are the exclusive property of VotingSystem-nu / Aren Group. You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, revocable license to use the platform for personal or organisational voting purposes.
• Your content: You retain all ownership rights to the polls you create (the title, description, and options). By creating a poll, you grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the service.
• No reverse engineering: You may not copy, modify, decompile, or create derivative works of the platform’s source code or underlying algorithms.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

VotingSystem-nu is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or free of viruses.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VotingSystem-nu and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of your use or inability to use the service.

7. Suspension and banning

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any user from accessing VotingSystem-nu if we, in our sole discretion, determine that the user has engaged in suspicious, abusive, or fraudulent activity, or has violated any provision of these Terms. In the event of a suspension or ban, we will make a reasonable effort to notify the user and provide a clear explanation of the reason for the action. Users who believe they have been wrongly suspended may contact us to request a review of their case.

8. Changes to the service and pricing

VotingSystem-nu is currently 100% free. However, we reserve the right to introduce paid tiers, premium features, or subscription plans in the future. If we do so, we will provide reasonable notice via our website or email (if you have contacted us). Existing basic features may remain free, but advanced features may require payment.

9. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the United States.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to VotingSystem-nu at any time, with or without cause, without prior notice, for violation of these terms or for any other reason.
